a walk from mewslade to fall's bay this morning resulted in 5 woodcock,6 snipe and 20 or so lapwing feeding along the coastal path\cliff edge.numerous thrush species were also around.prior to this having tried oxwich for any bitterns (none seen),while driving through te village,there is a small stream running alongside and over the road. 5 snipe and various redwing,fieldfare and song thrush were put up as i drove past.although i had very close views of these species,it goes to show how desperate they are to feed;pretty gard going for them
